Who is ‘Hot Rodded Pins’?

Hello!

Hi, and welcome to Hot Rodded Pins.
My name is Tim Reid. Pinball restoration has been my absolute passion and creative outlet for the last 15 years now.

I started out like most hobbyists, buying my first game and beginning to restore the parts to make the game fully playable. Not long after that, the cosmetics and fine detail of the mechanical parts became my focus, and wanting to really detail the game to remove the years of grime and dirt.
I had been posting my journey with this work on a pinball collectors forum, and other people began asking if I would offer this as a service for their machines.

I continued to push forward with my own games for a while, adding more and more efforts to the ‘fit and finish’ of the completed game.

As time went on, I decided to accept some early work and begin to apply my restoration ‘style’ on some customer work.

Since then, 11 years have been spent offering up my restoration skills under the ‘Hot Rodded Pins’ business name and building games to the highest level of ‘fit and finish’ for pinball collectors across Australia.
